Like Going to a Hardware Store for Bread won BEST SHORT COMEDY at City of Angels Women's Film Festival 2023. The film screened in Los Angeles on November 9th at the Whitefire Theatre.

Kim Katzberg stars and co-wrote the film with Roque Nonini who is the director and filmmaker. It premiered as an Official Selection of New York Shorts International Film Festival on October 13th at Cinema Village 22 E 12th Street in Manhattan. 

The short won Best Comedy of the IMDb qualifying Toronto Indie Shorts 2023. It was nominated and is an official selection of the IMDb qualifying New York Independent Cinema Awards and earned the Honorable Mention title of Experimental Forum Film Festival 2023.

Recent Projects

Kim Katzberg taught a Solo Performance class at Brooklyn College as an Adjunct Lecturer last Fall.

Katzberg was the inaugural Artist-In-Residence at Wild Project April 18-May 1, 2022 during which time she performed two work-in-progress presentations of her brand new solo show, WHOLE K-HOLE. Performances were April 29th and 30th at 7:30pm.

As part of Experiments Play Reading Series at La MaMa, on January 24th, 2022 Katzberg had an online play reading of her brand new solo show Whole K-Hole.

Kim Katzberg played JANEY JABLONSKI in the Off-Off-Broadway site-specific play Repulsing the Monkey at the White House Tavern in NYC's Financial District. It ran September 15-26, 2021. Read the positive Broadway World and Blog Critics reviews.

February 2021: Katzberg was a Visiting Guest Artist at Ball State University teaching an online solo show workshop to the senior BFA Acting students.

October 2020: Katzberg developing new work as a resident artist in the Downtown Brooklyn Rehearsal Residency Initiative.
